Curatorial Notes
Engage in the contested note and Denote the paradox of urban desire
Since the past is no more & future is not yet… the present is ever present. How does the term ‘installation’ sound? Does it belong to some giant head where the big bang always open and dead in a various contested method Or empty white hole where life is stage – full of love-pain and desire, by its own choice – in a paradox of time of what when and how? An attempt as an idea, which is floating inside my practice to understand the anxiety of urban life. Dear PICASSO said THERE IS NO PAST OR FUTURE IN ART – so how do we define the nature of object and its existence – how long it will be visible and how subtle is the position for viewing, it is a question ever and ever? Jazz and the Congo jazz Festival has always been pushing the boundary of negotiation with instrument or the way we like to listen the sound actually. – It is truly a orientation of ever changing performance practice. My installation will interact with poly-rhythms and swung note. One important aspect of curating this project also that not just construct some object rather think the anatomy of that sane idea as metaphor of ‘time’ – so with that we will might get a chance to review the city, kolkata’s own understanding of listening practice – viewing object.

The city with noise
The city with labor
It’s like ever and ever
Time like a catalyst
Like engage and re-…
with the listener
with the viewer,
sound with music moving
more with body and object.’
