After the Singularity, We’ll All Be Robots

Theatre Adda : Park Street sessions presents an experimental performance called “We’l al b robots at d edge of kali” on November 7, from 6:30 pm at Alliance Française du Bengale, Park Street, Kolkata. The performance is non ticketed and is open to mature audience.

Performance brief

Sooner or later, we are slated for “ethnic
cleansing… You take people who you define as being of little worth, and first you herd them into a crowded ghetto with limited resources, then you decide those resources aren’t worth spending on them, and bullets are cheaper than bread”

This performance explores the receding and blurred lines between the many realities and the virtual, the dream and the real, the human and the machine , mythology and existentialism, the emerging ‘singularity’, all of which lies at the edge of kali as seen through the eyes of Narod Muni, an Aghori & a common man.

Performers: Bivas, Dr. Payal Trivedi, Janardan Ghosh, Pradip Chaterjee & Sudipto.

This performance is loosely based on the texts ‘Rakhosi Devi (Demon Goddess) by Dr. Payal Trivedi & Dr. Janardan Ghosh.
