As part of Soirée pleine d’histoires – Evenings of Stories 2020, we are very happy to present a workshop by Francis Laleman called “NIRVIKALPA”.
This workshop will be held online through Zoom on September 20, 2020 from 5 pm – 6:30 pm .
“Being part of his trainings, scientific, informative, yet slightly provocative, but always refreshingly playful, is a once in a lifetime experience.” (Kawaljeet Kaur)
A 90 minutes experience in which attendants cooperatively co-create a story, in real time, told and performed as it is being created, using multimedia and multi sensorial devices. This makes Nirvikalpa at the same time a workshop and a group performance – with a uniquely unpredictable storyline, in which every contributing individual can be herself and express his own ideas and feelings and emotions – and to which everyone can add, but not subtract, verbal or non-verbal elements at wish.
The format is called निर्विकल्प (“admitting no alternative”) – because everything already said, played or done, remains as it is. Like life, this story goes forward only – and all one can do is use the present to create the next moment – together, in conversation with the community.
