Panelist

Akunbu Louis Jones Bubu, Co-founding Director of La Liberté Arts Group and founder of the entertainment agency Black Swagger Inc. in Cameroon, Since It’s creation in 2012, has been involved in film and theatre production, as well as the representation of actors and actresses.

Akunbu studied at the Bamenda University of Science and Technology (Cameroon) and the MS DCTC Institute of Development studies in Arusha (Tanzania). He partook in the Arts Fellowship at Baxter Theatre and Studio fellowship and residency in Cape Town (South Africa). With a background in theatre and filmmaking, Akunbu created the pioneer Spoken Word event in Cameroon, BLACK SWAGGER POETRY SLAM, and has written several community and radio plays syndicated in 18 radio stations across Cameroon. His musical play: IT’S JUST POETIC was selected by Cameroon Cultural Network: made up of Goethe Institute Kamerun, KIKI Entertainment, OTHNI laboratoire for the first ever national tour in Cameroon. He has further written, directed, and produced 3 short films – 3 of which have been selected at international festivals – including JUVENILE JUSTICE (selected in C ameroon for the National RECAN Festival),PROTECT (CIVILIANS in ARMED CONFLICT) which was selected by GAMIP PEACE GLOBAL SHORT FESTIVAL Colombia, and also shown in Leuven, Belgium. He is currently working on a Docu-Fiction NGONNSO, the founder of Nso (The great founder of Tikari people of Banso (produced by GAMPATI,Italy) and VOICES, a documentary film commissioned by Oxford University (Great Britain).

Parnab Mukherjee, is an independent pedagogue, a knowledge resource curator and a performance consultant by profession, Mr. Mukherjee. P is one of the leading alternative learning pedagogues of South Asia. He also dons the hat of a theatre director, visual arts curator, spoken word artist, scenographer and as a campus public speaking experts of the sub-continent. Not only is he an avid reader with a diverse collection of books in his own library, he’s also written five collections of performance texts and has penned an extensive collection of journalistic dispatches during his stints in The Asian Age and Sambad Pratidin. His contributions have been published in a number of publications including The Spectator London, Penguin Poetry Anthology of North East India, Chandrabhaga and Montreal Serai.
Mr. Mukherjee has conducted over 1650 immersive analog and digital knowledge experiences and public speaking events in South Asia. He designs, curates and conducts student collaborative conclaves, encouraging the child to think multidisciplinary and trans-disciplinary at the same time.
As a pedagogist and a trainer, he emphasises on the need of performing the intersections of South Asian micro-histories through a more holistic study of school syllabus, people’s archives, grassroot viewpoints, folklore and urbanised narratives.
Along with his extensive public speaking outreach oeuvre, he has directed more than 170 performance explorations and curated over 35 visual arts exhibitions and performed in 19 countries including the United States, Iran, East Timor, Estonia, Bangladesh, Denmark, Malaysia, Thailand, Canada, Sri Lanka, England, Wales, Nepal, Italy and Indonesia.
Mr Mukherjee has written and edited five books.
