Culture Monks is an independent collective of artists and creative change makers which has been regularly producing cutting edge and experimental artistic projects and socially engaged art programs for the past 10 years. We self support our activities through our own funds and are not reliant on sponsorship or grants. All of our regular and monthly activities are non ticketed and allows free access. We are currently at a stage where we need your kind support to sustain and scale our activities. This will benefit many artists and also the society at large. Your support will enable us to further intensify our drive to access resources to strengthen our artistic programming and deliver impact through our socially engaged art projects.
Culture Monks is committed to artistic research which extends the intersects of interdisciplinary subjectivity, deepens understanding and application of Indian philosophies and methods in contemporary performance and cross cultural collaborations . Our socially engaged art practices is about nurturing creative change makers through a process of dialogue and co-creation whon in turn would contribute positively towards the natural ecology & overall well being of the society. We also build dialogue and active participation in democratic processes strengthening the pillars of liberty and equality & freedom of expression.
Some of our regular art projects includes the Global COOLeaders program where we are developing creative leadership and well being among young change makers, Young Monks Creative POD which is for the holistic well being of children, theatre and storytelling productions and regular programming like the theatre adda and festivals and our artistic research and publications.
