“Engagingly made…moving.” (Mark Adams, Screen International)“Moving family drama…emotionally complex and wholly relatable.” (Andrew Parker, Dork Shelf)

“Igor and the Cranes’ Journey is a lovely fable that will appeal to cinema lovers of all ages. In the aftermath of his parents’ divorce, 11-year-old Igor relishes visits with his father, an ornithologist in the Russian countryside. When his mother announces they are moving to Israel to start a new life, Igor’s world is turned upside-down. Struggling to adjust to his new Israeli school, he finds solace in tracking the migration of a flock of cranes from Eastern Europe to Africa. In this feature debut, young Israeli-Russian filmmaker Evgeny Ruman proves himself dexterous at mixing light humour with a truly heartwarming story.”
Hi,
