This talk introduces Chattopadhyay’s two books, placing them within his body of work around site, sound and sonic auto-ethnography. The Auditory Setting (2021) investigates how narrative and a sense of place are constructed in film and media arts through the reproduction and mediation of site-specific environmental sounds, or ‘ambience’.
This session will give the audience an insight into the art of directing and screen writing in Hollywood.
The audience will have the opportunity to learn from the best in Hollywood, ask questions and understand what really happens behind the scenes there.
This discussion would encourage young minds to ask the right questions and ponder on various layers of thought about everyday issues and critically reflect on pieces of creativity like literature, painting, film, and so on. This interactive session would also be a hands-on workshop to elicit varied perspectives from the youth.
